RAS resumes use of higher rated plays
In our long history, one of the things we are most proud of is our performance on higher rated plays.
We are 241-161 (60%) all time on higher rated plays, which demonstrates our ability to identify when our edge is higher than normal. However, in recent years we've gotten away from making higher unit plays a regular part of the service.
Higher rated plays can often give the perception of too much "hype" or being too "touty" and some of our clients have a tough time as it is getting their desired bet amount on releases. Too many higher rated plays can also lead to unit inflation which is a widespread issue in the pick selling industry.
After getting more customer feedback, it turns out higher rated plays are something most RAS users want. Regardless of the issues noted above, our clients get value and can make better decisions when knowing when we think our edge is higher than normal.
Our plan is to make higher unit plays (nothing more than 1.5 units) a more regular occurrence this CBB season. So far this year we've done one at the end of CFB, and two on opening day of CBB, and have gone 2-0-1.
Higher rated plays in CBB are 170-120, 58.6% lifetime, compared to 55.1% on all play types.
Our 2024-25 CBB service is already off to a 10-3, +7.20 unit start, and November is always our most profitable time of the season.
