RAS introduces the 'opposite' on Release Shows
A third option to the set up and go process will make it easier for bettors to get release odds
RAS Release Shows continue to grow in popularity.
Since launching our YouTube channel last month, we have more than 3,200 subscribers and Release Shows routinely draw more than 1,000 live viewers betting together.
The added attention on RAS has both pros and cons.
One of the downsides of more bettors watching the show is increased risk of front running and early steam. We have noticed bettors and sportsbooks trying to take advantage of the stream by moving early during the set up and go procedure.
This morning during our Release Show, we introduced a third option to our set up and go method, the “opposite,” as a way to benefit viewers of the show.
The opposite opens the opportunity to play the other side of the bet during any set up that steams early or draws early movement from sportsbooks.
Here is a clip of the opposite from our show this morning.
We acknowledge that when an opposite is given out, it erases any time to set up a bet and speeds up the process for the bettor, which can occasionally result in missing the release price. However, we believe it is a necessary counter measure against bettors moving early which causes many more on the stream to not get the release odds.
The first implementation of the opposite was met with praise from viewers.
Our next live show will air Saturday morning and is likely to feature multiple releases from a large card. Bettors can subscribe to the RAS YouTube Channel here.
