Discord is no more, RAS moves community back to message board
Membership is free to all recent, current and future RAS subscribers
The BettingTalk community started in 2001, with message board software that even then felt archaic. It went through many upgrades over the years until moving to a Slack channel in 2020, and more recently to Discord. The Slack and Discord both attracted many of the biggest names and brightest minds in the space. It quickly became the essential sharp betting community.
More recently the sharp discussions that we most covet became more and more rare, and when they did happen, you'd have to be online at the right time or you'd likely miss them. Spam, unsolicited DM's, and anonymous trolls also were difficult to manage on Discord.
So now in 2024 we've moved the community back to a message board using a modern software with all of the bells and whistles. We believe this will result in a more productive, civil, and sustainable community.
